Member of Internal Security Forces injured in attack in Deir ez-Zor countryside

A member of the Internal Security Forces was injured during an attack carried out by two armed men on a security center in Diban, Deir ez-Zor countryside.

The General Command of the Internal Security Forces in North and East Syria issued a statement today regarding the armed attack on the center in Diban, which read as follows:

"At exactly 11:00 a.m. today, two terrorist gunmen riding a motorcycle targeted one of our centers in Diban, Deir ez-Zor countryside, by directly opening fire, which resulted in the injury of one of our members.

The injured member was immediately taken for medical treatment, while our forces launched a sweep operation in the area in pursuit of the perpetrators, with the aim of apprehending them and bringing them to justice.

We, in the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria, reaffirm our commitment to fulfilling our duty in protecting the security and stability of our regions. These cowardly attempts will not deter us from pursuing anyone who dares to threaten the safety and security of our people."
