Mazloum Abdi reveals details of meeting with Nechirvan Barzani, Tom Barrack

The Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, confirmed that the issue of integrating the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Autonomous Administration into Syrian state institutions was at the forefront of discussions held with Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani and U.S. Special Presidential Envoy Tom Barrack, alongside discussions on supporting stability and the political process in Syria.

A meeting was held yesterday, Tuesday, in the Kurdistan Region between President Nechirvan Barzani, SDF Commander-in-Chief Mazloum Abdi, and U.S. Special Presidential Envoy Tom Barrack to discuss the latest developments in Syria and the region.

General Mazloum Abdi stated in a post on the X platform: "We discussed important issues, most notably the ongoing steps for integrating our forces and the Autonomous Administration into the Syrian government, as well as following up on the implementation of agreements in a way that strengthens the political process and stability."

General Abdi further explained: "We also emphasized support for counterterrorism efforts and advancing a comprehensive political solution in Syria that ensures the participation of all components in the government and in shaping the country's future."

The General also noted that the meeting highlighted the supportive role of the Kurdistan Region in promoting regional stability and dialogue among different parties in a way that serves security and peace in the region.
