Mazloum Abdi, Ilham Ahmed, Asaad al-Sheibani meet Saudi Foreign minister in Munich

Mazloum Abdi and Ilham Ahmed, along with Asaad al-Sheibani, met with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah on the sidelines of the 2026 Munich Security Conference. During the meeting, Riyadh reaffirmed its support for the political process in Syria, while Abdi welcomed Saudi Arabia’s role in supporting Syria and facilitating the implementation of the January 29 agreement.

The General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, the Co-Chair of the Foreign Relations Office, Ilham Ahmed, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Syrian Interim Government, Asaad al-Sheibani, held a joint meeting with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah on the sidelines of the 2026 Munich Security Conference.

During the meeting, Saudi Arabia expressed its readiness to contribute to all points agreed upon by Syrians and reaffirmed its support for national integration and the implementation of the January 29 agreement.

For his part, Mazloum Abdi expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the Kingdom’s role in supporting Syria from day one, its backing of efforts to lift sanctions, and its facilitation of the agreement’s implementation.
