Mass Marches in NE Syria denounce Turkish attacks

Today, in many cities and districts of Qamishlo canton, following the continued attacks of the Turkish occupation army on the region, marches were launched under the slogan “Standfast and Resistant in the Face of Turkish Attacks.”

In this context, hundreds of people of Çal Agha denounce the Turkish attacks targeting the region and targeting citizens and vital and service facilities. The people of the district gathered alongside members of civil institutions, the Martyrs’ Families Council, the District Council, the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement, and the Young Women’s Union in a square west of Çal Agha, near Dallah Roundabout.

The march started from the gathering place amid chanting of the slogan "Resistance is life", and the participants raised pictures of the crimes of the Turkish occupation and banners reading "No to the Turkish occupation", "Long live the resistance of the peoples", "Turkish fascism is a threat to global security.

The participants held a minute of silence, after which the member of the Popular Initiative and the co-chair of the People’s Municipality in Çil Agha, Faisal Hassan, pointed out their adoption of the spirit of resistance and steadfastness to confront the Turkish attacks.

He stated, " We confirm that we are continuing on the path of struggle in the path of leader Abdullah Ocalan until we achieve our goals of freedom and victory."

Tirbespiyê

The people of Tirbespiyê district denounced the Turkish attaks during a statement, read by a member of the Democratic Union Party, Abdul Rahim Hesso, in front of the party building.

The statement stressed that the Turkish occupation state continues its hostile policy against the project of the people in NE Syria.

The statement called on the people to "exercise caution and strengthen popular resistance to repel attacks and special war policies."

Girkê Legê

 The people of Girkê Legê district also expressed their anger against the attacks during a march that started from Martyr Khabat Square in the center of the district.

The participants observed a minute of silence to pay tribute to the souls of the martyrs, then the member of the Popular Initiative and the co-chair of the Martyrs’ Families Council in Girkê Legê, Muhammad Jamil, delivered a speech in which he called for an escalation of the struggle and stressed, “The attacks will not break our will.”

In turn, the administrator of the Community Protection Forces, Baraa Fares Khashu, called on the people of the region to continue demonstrating until the Turkish occupation army is held accountable for its crimes against the people of the region.

Derik

In the city of Derik, the people of the city, members of institutions, as well as representatives of notables and clans of the region participated in the march against the Turkish attacks.

The participants started from Freedom Square and roamed the neighborhoods of the city while chanting a slogan saluting the resistance of the Guerrilla forces and the resistance of the people, “Resistance is life.”

The Co-chair of the People’s Municipality in Derik, Joan Hassan, delivered a speech in which he stressed the continuation of the path of struggle in the face of all the attacks of the Turkish occupation army, and stressed, “We will not be defeated as long as we follow the thought of our leader Ocalan.” He praised the operations of the Guerrilla forces against the Turkish occupation army.
