The child, Ronida Othman Abdo, the eldest sister in her family, succumbed to her wounds. She was injured during a Turkish occupation airstrike that targeted a farm between the village of Qomji and Barkh Botan, south of Kobani, on the night of Sunday-Monday.

The attack launched by a Turkish drone resulted in the deaths of seven children, including Ronida and her sisters: Ahin, Dijla, Delofan, Yasser, Fawaz, and Saliha. Their parents, Othman Barkal Abdo and Ghazala Osman Abdo, were also killed in the same airstrike, deepening the tragedy this family has experienced.

Ronida, who had hopes and dreams as a child, succumbed to her injuries, leaving her family and the local community in North and East Syria deeply saddened.

Residents and activists strongly condemn the ongoing military escalation by the Turkish occupation, which is causing the loss of innocent lives and stirring up feelings of anger and grief among everyone.

This attack is a dangerous escalation by the Turkish occupation and comes at a time when civilians in the region need security and stability. Humanitarian organizations and activists express deep concern about the continuation of these raids, which are leading to more loss of life and precipitating new tragedies.

The only remaining family member is now the child, Narin Othman.
