Manbij countryside shelled with 171 shells

The Turkish occupation state has intensified its attacks on Manbij Canton, targeting its countryside with 171 mortar and artillery shells over the past five days.

During the past five days, Turkish forces and their mercenaries have shelled the countryside of Manbij with 171 mortar and artillery shells, in addition to using medium and heavy weapons.

On August 7, the Turkish occupation army shelled the villages of Sayyada, Dandaniya, Umm Julud, Arab Hassan, Toukhare, and Aoun al-Dadat with 52 mortar and artillery shells, and targeted the villages of Hawshariya and Aoun al-Dadat with 14.5mm Dushka machine guns.

On August 8, the Turkish occupation shelled the villages of Kawakli, Kor Hiyuk, Qart Weiran, and Bouheij with 70 mortar and artillery shells, along with 14.5mm Dushka machine guns.

On August 10, 33 shells fell on the villages of Aoun al-Dadat and Jat, and 16 shells on the village of Sayyada, with an additional attack on the village of Sayyada by a suicide drone.

The Turkish occupation army’s shelling and mercenaries have caused significant damage to civilian property. Residents have affirmed that the attacks will not deter them from resisting, holding on to their land, and fighting alongside the Syrian Democratic Forces.
