Traffic has resumed on the M4 international highway after the People's Municipality of Tell Tamer completed rehabilitation work on the damaged section. The damage was caused by the rising water level of the Khabur River due to recent heavy rains witnessed in the region.

The rising water level damaged parts of the road and disrupted traffic, affecting residents and transportation, given the road's importance as a main link between the Jazira region and the city of Aleppo.

As a result, the municipal teams and relevant authorities began urgent maintenance work two days ago, including repairing the damaged sections and reinforcing the temporary road to ensure the safe resumption of traffic.

With the water receding and the work completion, the road was reopened to vehicles today, much to the relief of residents, who appreciate its importance in facilitating daily commutes and the transport of goods.

The relevant authorities confirm they will continue monitoring the situation in anticipation of any emergencies, given the fluctuating weather conditions in the region, emphasizing their readiness to intervene quickly if needed.

The road has been out of service for the third time since the middle of last week, due to the heavy rainfall that the region witnessed.
