A leader of the mercenaries of the so-called "National Army" affiliated with the Turkish occupation was killed by unknown gunmen in the city of Azaz in the Aleppo countryside.

Farouk Abu Bakr, a leader of the "Mu'tasim" Division affiliated with the "Syrian National Army" mercenaries, was killed after being directly shot by unknown assailants in the city of Azaz in the northern Aleppo countryside.

Local sources reported that two masked gunmen riding a motorcycle opened fire on him, killing him instantly.

In a post on the "X" platform, Abdul Qader Tahan, the Deputy Minister of Interior for Security Affairs in the Syrian Transitional Government, mourned Abu Bakr and vowed to pursue the perpetrators.

The killing comes amid escalating tensions and security chaos in the areas occupied by Turkey and its mercenaries.
