Leader Ocalan’s thoughts on women discussed in Tirbespiyê

With the participation of many women from Tirbespiyê in Jazira Canton, the Women's Council of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) organized a wide-ranging meeting to explore Leader Abdullah Ocalan’s views on women's liberation and the impact of his thought on the reality of women in North and East Syria.

The meeting was held at the PYD’s hall and began with a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for freedom and dignity.

During the meeting, Nesrin Taher, an administrator at the Women’s Council in Qamishlo, delivered a speech in which she addressed the key principles of Leader Abdullah Ocalan’s philosophy concerning women's liberation, emphasizing that his intellectual project serves as a cornerstone for building a free, democratic society in which justice and equality are realized.

Taher also explained that Leader Abdullah Ocalan’s thought played a decisive role in creating transformative changes in women's lives in North and East Syria. Women have become active and influential in various fields, including politics, economics, society, and the military. She noted that these achievements continue to inspire women in the region to pursue greater organization and involvement in public life.

The meeting also included a video presentation highlighting Leader Ocalan’s philosophy and his vision of women as a fundamental force in building a liberated society.

The event concluded with an interactive discussion session among attendees, focusing on how to translate these ideas into practical steps that enhance the role of women and reinforce their active participation in various sectors of life in the upcoming stage.
