Leader Ocalan participates in PKK Conference via Virtual communication technologies

Pervin Buldan, the member of the Imrali delegation, revealed that leader Abdullah Ocalan participated in the 12th PKK Congress via communication technologies.

Buldan made this statement to the Mezopotamya Kurdish news agency, active in Northern Kurdistan and Turkey, hours after the PKK announced that its 12th Congress would be held this May and that it would soon reveal the outcomes.

Buldan considered that this conference represents a "historical milestone in the course of the Kurdish issue."

She explained that in response to the conference, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will issue a statement on this development, emphasizing that holding the conference creates a new foundation for peace within Turkey.

She also stressed that the conference lays the foundations for peace in Turkey and the region, adding that building peace is still possible.

The People's Democratic Party (HDP) described the PKK's conference as a pivotal historical event that opens a new chapter for peace and democratic solutions, affirming that its decisions bring the country closer to the prospect of peace after years of conflict, and calling on the Turkish Parliament to take responsibility for achieving real democracy and resolving the Kurdish issue.
