The protest began with a moment of silence, followed by the Lebanese and Kurdish national anthems. Several speeches were delivered, emphasizing the political and humanitarian significance of this day and calling for an end to the regime of torture and isolation imposed on the leader.

Ahmed Kurdi, the spokesperson for the Kurdish community in Lebanon, described leader's 1999 arrest as part of an international conspiracy aimed at undermining the "democratic nation" project and maintaining hegemonic control over the region.

Kurdi highlighted that the current regime of isolation and repression imposed on the leader is a continuation of these oppressive policies. He also noted that the leader had proposed a peace initiative to Turkish authorities as a historic opportunity to resolve the Kurdish issue through democratic means. He called on the international community and the United Nations to support this initiative and pressure Turkey to uphold human rights and international law.

Kongra Star: the leader Ocalan as a Symbol of Resistance and Women's Liberation

Lina Kobani, representing Kongra Star, stated that the capitalist powers that handed the leader over to Turkey sought to consolidate their control over the Middle East and obstruct any democratic initiatives in the region.

She emphasized that leader’s "democratic nation" project offers a comprehensive solution to regional crises based on principles of freedom, equality, and coexistence among peoples. She also underscored the significance of women’s resistance inspired by the leader’s ideas, calling for intensified efforts to secure his release.

Jihad Kobani, speaking on behalf of Kurdish youth organizations, reaffirmed the commitment of Kurdish youth to continue the leader’s struggle. He asserted that the leader's ideas provide a foundation for building a democratic future in the region.

He emphasized that the sacrifices made by the leader and Kurdish martyrs would continue to inspire those fighting for freedom and justice.

Lebanese journalist Hamo Moskofian highlighted the dangers posed by Turkey’s expansionist policies, arguing that they hinder efforts to achieve stability in the region.

He called for international solidarity to counter these policies and support the Kurdish people's right to self-determination. Moskofian, a well-known supporter of the Kurdish cause, stressed that the leader’s ideology is not exclusive to the Kurds but represents a vision for peace and stability for all Middle Eastern peoples.

He further asserted that Turkey’s occupation of northern Syria is an extension of its broader repression against the Kurds, posing a direct threat to regional security. He described the leader's imprisonment as not merely targeting an individual but attempting to dismantle a movement advocating for social justice and equality.

Moskofian urged the international community to take decisive action against Turkey’s aggressive policies and to work towards leader’s release.

Amal Kobani, representing the families of Kurdish martyrs in Lebanon, affirmed that the blood of those who sacrificed their lives for freedom would not be in vain. She pledged to continue their struggle for justice and dignity.

She described the leader as an inspiration to thousands of activists and insisted that he must be freed to continue his mission of building a society based on equality and freedom. “ The leader is not just a leader for the Kurdish people but a symbol for all oppressed peoples. His isolation in Imrali Prison will not silence his ideas or break the determination of those who follow his path,” she declared.

PYD: The International Community Must Act

Rifan Kobani, representing the Democratic Union Party (PYD) in Lebanon, argued that the conspiracy against the leader was not merely an arrest but a deliberate attempt to suppress any democratic movement in the Middle East.

She called for an end to the leader’s isolation and for his immediate release, stating that the international community’s silence on Turkish violations constitutes implicit complicity.

She reiterated that the Kurdish issue cannot be resolved through repression and imprisonment but only through recognition of the Kurdish people's right to self-determination in a framework of freedom and justice.
