KRC: 3 members kidnapped in Aleppo's Sheikh Maqsoud

The Kurdish Red Crescent (KRC) announced that three of its members were abducted by interim government mercenaries in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo. The organization stated that efforts are being made to contact international organizations to intervene for their release, holding the interim government fully responsible for the safety of its members.

The Co-President of the KRC, Dalkash Issa, told ANHA Agency that after losing contact with three members in Sheikh Maqsoud, it was confirmed this evening that they had been kidnapped by interim government mercenaries.

According to Issa, the kidnapped members include the paramedics Abdul Rahman Muhammad and Rami Hussein Al-Ali, and ambulance driver Yusuf Hanan Hakmo, who were taken to an unknown location.

The KRC confirmed that it is making intensive efforts to communicate with the International Red Cross and other international humanitarian organizations to pressure the interim government to release the abducted members.

This abduction, the organization added, flagrantly violates all international laws and conventions regarding the safety of medical and humanitarian workers, and the facilitation of their humanitarian duties, which are fundamental principles guaranteed by international law, human rights conventions, and the United Nations.
