Kongra Star issued a statement in the city of Hasakah, in the Jazira Canton, addressed to the public, demanding the physical freedom of Leader Ocalan. The statement was attended by female members of Kongra Star, the Sara Organization for Combating Violence Against Women, and representatives of civil and military institutions.

The statement was delivered in Kurdish and Arabic by Rinda Hussein, a member of the Women’s Committee of the Education and Training Authority in Jazira, and Media Ali, an administrator of Kongra Star in Hasakah city, at the Leader’s Park in the Al-Nasira neighborhood of Hasakah.

It highlighted the international conspiracy targeting Leader Abdullah Ocalan over the past 27 years, involving several regional and Western countries, and emphasized that the imposed isolation violates the Geneva Conventions and international humanitarian law.

Kongra Star praised Leader Ocalan’s intellectual and political system, which is based on freedom, democracy, and equality, asserting that his approach can transform crises into political and ethical rights and facilitate negotiations that ensure sustainable peace for peoples.

The statement stressed the importance of applying international law and negotiation principles to resolve the Kurdish issue, describing this as a key step to promote democracy in the region.

Kongra Star also called on the international public, legal, and human rights bodies to take urgent action to secure Leader Abdullah Ocalan’s physical freedom, stating that this aligns with values of justice, dignity, humanity, and peace.

It noted that Leader Ocalan is a leading figure in advocating for women’s freedom, quoting him: “For me, the freedom of women is more important than anything else, and the most beautiful woman is the one who lives with the greatest freedom.”

Kongra Star concluded the statement by chanting slogans denouncing the imposed isolation on Leader Ocalan and demanding his physical freedom.
