On Tuesday, October 6, the transitional government forces in Syria abducted six citizens from Tal Aran village, which belongs to the Al-Safira area in southern Aleppo countryside, according to the Afrin Syria Human Rights Organization.

According to the organization, three of the abductees—Khalil Muhammad Bashar, Nader Bashar, and Hussein Bashar—were released, while Ramadan Khaled Baba (23 years old) remains in custody. He is an only child, and it was reported that he was abducted for listening to a Kurdish song. His mother was also threatened not to speak to the media about the incident.

The organization also reported that on Friday, October 10, two brothers, Ibrahim Muhammad Ali Ahmed (55 years old), who was visiting a doctor at Tal Aran hospital, and Khaled Muhammad Ali Ahmed (45 years old), who was taken from his home, were abducted and taken to Al-Waha prison in the Al-Safira countryside, where they remain in detention.

Tal Aran village has witnessed repeated abduction campaigns for some time, affecting more than 20 people so far at the hands of the transitional government forces.

According to local residents, these actions are carried out for financial extortion, aiming to force the residents of Tal Aran and Tal Hasel into forced displacement in order to seize their property.
