Kobani administration's delegation meets Aleppo governor to discuss promoting stability, integrating institutions

A delegation from the Kobani administration visited Aleppo province on Monday, where they discussed with Governor Azzam Gharib the implementation of the January 29th Agreement and mechanisms for integrating service and administrative institutions to contribute to achieving security and stability in the region.

Anwar Muslim; the member of the Kobani administration delegation, revealed the details of the visit during a press conference held on Tuesday in Kobani city.

Muslim explained that the Kobani administration delegation held a meeting at the Aleppo governorate building with the governor and his deputy, where they discussed mechanisms for integrating the Autonomous Administration's institutions with state institutions, within the framework of the agreement concluded between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Syrian Interim Government.

The meeting also addressed the current state of public services and the means and mechanisms to improve them, with the aim of improving the overall situation in the region, preserving civil peace and co-existence among the region's various communities, and rejecting hate speech.

Anwar Muslim said, "The delegation that traveled from Kobani to Aleppo included persons from the administration, all of whom are democratic figures, with the aim of having a future role within the People's Municipalities. He added that the discussions with the governor were very positive, as they addressed the issue of hate speech and how to strengthen ties between the components of Syria, especially in Kobani, and ensure peaceful co-existence. He stressed that anyone who seeks to incite strife in the region will be held accountable, and that there are laws that prevent the spread of hate speech, and that co-existence must be based on a spirit of community."

Regarding services, he emphasized the need for support, especially given the extensive destruction from which Kobani suffered as a result of ISIS attacks in 2014, which caused widespread damage in the region and necessitates providing the necessary assistance.

He also stressed that the ongoing discussions must take into account the people's opinion and prevent a repeat of the mistakes made during the Ba'ath Party's rule. He affirmed that competence and the ability to serve the community are paramount, not party affiliation or personal background.

Anwar Muslim noted that all those present at the meeting expressed their views and emphasized the importance of brotherhood among peoples, peaceful co-existence, and supporting the integration of institutions.

Anwar Muslim stated that the meeting was positive and that an official invitation was extended to the Governor of Aleppo to visit Kobani, meet with its residents, listen to their opinions, and learn about their problems and suggestions. He also indicated that the Governor promised to make a visit soon. Anwar Muslim revealed, "A special team has already been appointed to manage the municipality, but they are still awaiting an official decision from the Governor's office to finalize these steps and follow up on such visits in the future."
