The first stop of the visit was the Council of Martyrs' Families in the city, where the delegation was received by relatives of the martyrs, members of the council, and Aisha Efendi, an official from the Popular Initiative for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

During the visit, discussions centered on the struggle and sacrifices of the martyrs for the freedom of peoples and the fight against oppression. Zeyneb Murad expressed her gratitude for the resistance of the local people and fighters during the Kobani resistance, and conveyed her happiness at visiting the city.

In her meeting with the families of the martyrs, Murad emphasized that the entire world is indebted to the people of Kobani, who fought in the name of all humanity in their resistance against ISIS mercenaries.

Following this, Zeyneb Murad, accompanied by members of the Council of Martyrs’ Families, visited the Martyr Dicle Cemetery, where they laid flowers on the graves of the fallen as a gesture of gratitude for their sacrifices.

The delegation then proceeded to the Kongra Star center in Kobani, where they were welcomed by members of the coordination committee, activists from the Sara Organization, the Co-Chair of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration in the Euphrates Region, Farhan Haji Issa, his deputy Mezgin Khalil, and the Co-Chair of the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) in the Canton, Anwar Muslim.

Discussions during the visit focused on the role of women in the Rojava Revolution and their leadership in all spheres of the revolutionary movement, from its inception to the present day. The conversation highlighted the achievements of women empowered by the ideology and philosophy of leader Abdullah Ocalan, and how they overcame patriarchal mindsets represented by ISIS.

The delegation also addressed the current situation in Syria and the challenges facing women, affirming that Kurdish women have the potential to be a source of strength and liberation for women from oppression, and to lead society toward a democratic and peaceful future.

They also discussed the accomplishments made possible by the struggle and sacrifices of the martyrs, the latest of which was the recent Kurdish Unity Conference, which they hope will lead to tangible progress in the Kurdish cause.

At the end of the meeting, Kongra Star presented a symbolic gift to Zeyneb Murad representing the cultural heritage of Kobani’s women.

In the final part of her visit, Zeyneb Murad traveled to the village of Albour in the western countryside of Kobani, where the house of leader Abdullah Ocalan is located.
