During the meeting, Sheikh Tarif thanked Netanyahu for his firm directives to protect the Druze in Syria, including the recent decision to carry out a warning strike on the presidential palace complex in Damascus. He emphasized that "these actions sent a deterrent message to the Syrian regime regarding Israel's commitment to the Syrian Druze community."

Today, the Israeli Ministry of Defense announced the execution of a warning operation targeting a group it described as "extremist," who were planning "to attack Druze residents in the town of Ashrafiya Sahnaia" in the Damascus countryside.

In turn, the Damascus Authority condemned the recent Israeli warning strike on a site near the presidential palace, calling it "a dangerous escalation."

The security tension between the Damascus Authority and the Druze has escalated into military action, resulting in the deaths of over 73 people from both sides.
