The Kurdistan Women's Organization (KJK) Coordination Committee emphasized that the "Women, Life, Freedom" uprising not only expresses the struggle of the people of Iran, but also represents the shared struggle of all peoples and women of the world.

This came in a statement issued by the Coordination Committee on the third anniversary of the killing of the young Kurdish woman, Jina Amini, by the Iranian "morality police" on September 16, 2022, which sparked a popular uprising across eastern Kurdistan and Iran, led by women and under the slogan "Women, Life, Freedom."

The statement said: "On the third anniversary of the "Women, Life, Freedom" revolution, which is the highest expression of the 21st century's message, we remember all the martyrs of the revolution with respect and gratitude, in the person of the martyrs Jina Amini, Shaler Rasouli, Nikasha Karami, Kumar Drovtadi, Zakaria Khayal, and Minoo Majidi.

We renew our pledge to move forward toward achieving an honorable, just, equal, and free life, the life for which the martyrs sacrificed their lives.

We also affirm our pledge to fulfill the dreams they entrusted to us by building a democratic Kurdistan and Iran, which were their greatest aspirations."

The statement added: "On this occasion, on the third anniversary of the revolution, we congratulate, first and foremost, Leader Abdullah Ocalan, the architect of the "Women, Life, Freedom" revolution, the families of the youth martyred in the course of the revolution, all women, the people of Iran, and humanity as a whole.

We also extend our greetings to all participants, especially the women, in the "Women, Life, Freedom" conference held on September 8 and 13 (in Dortmund, Germany), hoping that this conference will serve as a starting point for strengthening the organization of the "Women, Life, Freedom" philosophy everywhere."

The statement recalled the murder of 22-year-old Jina Amini, allegedly for violating the hijab rules, followed by her torture by the so-called morality police on September 13, 2022, and her martyrdom on September 16, a pivotal turning point. Her funeral on September 17 was the spark that sparked the "Women, Life, Freedom" revolution. Therefore, September 16, 2022, represents a turning point in the history of resistance for women and all the peoples of Iran and the world. Through Jina Amini, the Iranian regime sought to instill fear in the hearts of the people and all women, but the exact opposite happened. The people boldly and angrily joined the revolution.

The world has witnessed many revolutions throughout history, but none has been able to possess a comprehensive societal character, and no revolution has ever been a women's revolution that simultaneously possesses both local and global characteristics.

Therefore, the "Women, Life, Freedom" revolution holds a unique place in the history of people's resistance. It was led by women and encompassed all segments of society, from the young to the old, transcending its local boundaries.

The "Women, Life, Freedom" revolution is not just a women's revolution; it is a revolution in which men also played a role. They seek to shatter and break the patriarchal mentality, view the killing of a woman as the killing of life itself, and desire to be women's companions.

This revolution demonstrated to the entire world that when women and men walk side by side, that is, toward a common goal, and when they are true companions, they can achieve what they seek. Therefore, the "Women, Life, Freedom" revolution is, at its core, a revolution of thought, culture, and personality. The embrace of this revolution by all segments of society has demonstrated to the world that women's freedom is the fundamental and decisive point for resolving all societal issues.

The slogan "Woman, Life, Freedom" has become a central and inspiring force for the resistance of Iranian and Kurdish women, as well as women around the world. While this slogan resonates around the world, for global women's movements that stand up against the dominant male mentality of capitalism, nationalism-statism, totalitarianism, and reaction, it has become a manifesto for freedom. As expressed by Leader Abdullah Ocalan, the magic formula "Woman, Life, Freedom" has spread throughout the world.

The Iranian regime, powerless against the influence of this magical formula, continues its fascist practices. During the height of the "Women, Life, Freedom" revolution, it killed hundreds of people, and on the third anniversary of the revolution, it continues to arrest and execute the youth who led the revolution and participated in its activities, as if it is trying to take revenge on the revolution itself through these fascist practices. Nevertheless, it is becoming clearer day after day that, despite all the reactionary practices of the Iranian regime, the Iranian people's passion for freedom cannot be curbed, because the slogan "Women, Life, Freedom" has gone beyond being a mere slogan to become an established principle of life.

the people of Iran, who have lived together in freedom for centuries, bring the Iranian regime ever closer to the brink of collapse. Contrary to the thousands-year-old tradition of free living and multiculturalism, the Iranian state, through this oppressive regime imposed on the people of Iran, especially women, is in fact paving the way for its own downfall. The path to a strong Iran, however, lies in recognizing the freedom and self-governance of the people, especially women. The events taking place in Iran demonstrate that the nation-state has become too tight for the people and is being torn apart day by day.

The people of Iran continue to stand and resist against all practices perpetrated by this fascist regime. In particular, the resistance of women inside Iranian prisons continues, emphasizing that the "Women, Life, Freedom" revolution is not a revolution that begins and ends, but rather, it is a revolution that continues to grow and expand in the face of all forms of fascist practices. On the third anniversary of the revolution, we salute the resistance of all women in Iranian prisons, represented by Zeinab Jalalian, Golrokh Iriaei, Resheh Moradi, Bakhshan Azizi, and Sharifeh Mohammadi, and express our appreciation for their steadfastness.

The "Women, Life, Freedom" Revolution simultaneously strengthened the groundwork for the women's revolution in the Middle East, as well as the global democratic confederation of women. This revolution demonstrated once again the importance of women's organization and resistance against the dominant male mentality, which has become an organized force against women, and this shared spirit was born and manifested.

Thanks to the ideology of the "Women, Life, Freedom" Revolution, this revolution is not only for the people and women of Iran, but for all women and a global revolution. Therefore, defending and expanding it is everyone's responsibility. On the third anniversary of the revolution, we say that the path to a democratic Iran passes through the "Women, Life, Freedom" Revolution. We call on all the peoples of Iran, especially women, and the peoples of the world to insist on the "Women, Life, Freedom" Revolution and to preserve, uphold, and expand all its values, foremost among them the martyrs of the Revolution.”
