As part of the ongoing violations against the indigenous population of occupied Afrin, Turkish-backed mercenaries abducted Zainab Mohammed Mulla Mohammed (18 years old) from Jowayq village at around 6:00 p.m. yesterday.

According to local sources, she was released at 2:00 a.m. today. However, the kidnappers refrained from disclosing any details about her detention, leaving her family and fellow villagers in a state of anxiety and fear amid the escalating abuses against civilians in the area.

In this context, local sources from the Bulbul district reported that a militia leader known as “Abu Naseeb,” commander of the “Northern Storm” faction affiliated with the Turkish army, has been seizing olive groves and homes in Sheikh Khurz village since 2018. He is reportedly acting in collusion with other figures, unchecked by any authority.

Residents accuse Abu Naseeb of cutting down olive trees, destroying farmland, and looting homes and shops, while the so-called “interim government” continues to ignore their complaints despite repeated promises to restore stolen property.

It is worth recalling that Turkish-backed mercenaries previously abducted Fawzi Ahmed Ali (70), an Ezidi resident of Basufan village in Sherawa, after he refused to hand over his home, which the militias sought to convert into a mosque.
