Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei defied Western pressures, stating that his country is determined to achieve what he described as "progress and reaching the peaks." He emphasized that issues such as the nuclear program, uranium enrichment, and human rights are "mere weak pretexts" used against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Last month, the United States launched attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, claiming they were part of a program aimed at developing nuclear weapons.

During a ceremony commemorating the fortieth day since the death of commanders killed in the recent Israeli attack, Khamenei said: "What they present under titles like the nuclear file, enrichment, and human rights are mere weak pretexts. The real reason for their discontent and opposition is the rise of the new discourse and the capabilities of the Islamic Republic in various fields scientific, humanitarian, technological, and religious."

He added: "Iran will rise to the peaks of progress and glory despite the enemies’ noses. The Iranian people have this capability, and with God’s help, they will realize this potential and achieve the desired outcomes."

Khamenei continued: "The Iranian people, alongside the great achievements accomplished during 12 days of war, which the world witnesses today, have shown their strength, steadfastness, firm determination, and strong will, to the extent that everyone has come to realize closely the greatness and power of the Islamic Republic."
