KDP evacuates villages in Amadiya, clearing way for Turkish army

Under orders from the occupying Turkish state, the Asayish forces affiliated with the Kurdistan Democratic Party evacuated three villages in the Amadiya region of Dohuk Governorate, and closed the roads leading to these three villages.

Roj News Agency quoted local sources as saying that KDP forces evacuated the villages of Spîndarê, Mijê, and Kevne Mijê in Amadiya since Tuesday, January 16, on orders from the Turkish occupation state. According to the same local sources, the security forces of KDP closed the road leading to these three villages and set up checkpoints.

The clear reason for the evacuation of these villages by KDP was not known. But these attempts of KDP come in the context of making room for the Turkish army to occupy southern Kurdistan.

The occupying Turkish state, the Asayish forces, and forces affiliated with KDP are constantly forcefully evacuating the villages located on the borders of Dohuk and Hewler governorates, and expelling the residents of the villages from their lands, about 600 villages in southern Kurdistan have been forcibly evacuated due to threats from the Turkish state and its partner KDP.
