KDP encourages Turkish occupation to annex more territories 

Journalist Aziz Koyluoğlu spoke to ANHA agency about the policies pursued by the Turkish occupation state towards Kurdistan, the alliance of the Kurdistan Democratic Party with the Turkish occupation state in that regard, and its repercussions.

Aziz Koyluoğlu pointed out that the system in the Middle East and the global system are witnessing many changes, mentioning the war between Israel and Hamas, and the energy corridor that is planned to start from India and pass to Europe via Israel, as an example.

Koyluoğlu indicated that these issues will affect Kurdistan and the Kurds, and he highlighted the attempts of the Turkish occupation state and its alliance with the Kurdistan Democratic Party.

Koyluoğlu pointed to the recent visits of Turkish delegations to Iraq and Southern Kurdistan, as well as the visit of Iranian President Raisi to Turkey last January, and the resumption of the Astana meetings again.

Aziz Koyluoğlu explained that Iranian, Russian and Turkish officials discussed the issue of North and East Syria in Astana, based on their hostility to the Kurdistan Liberation Movement.

Aziz Koyluoğlu recalled that the Turkish state launched large-scale attacks on the achievements of the people of the region in Northern Kurdistan, Southern and Western Kurdistan, and cited the series of arrests it carried out in Northern Kurdistan, its occupation of Afrin, Girê Spi/ Tal Abyed, and Serê Kaniyê/ Ras al-Ain, its opposition to the Southern Kurdistan referendum, and its attacks on the Mediya defense areas.

“It is pursuing a special strategy in Southern Kurdistan.”

Journalist Koyluoğlu pointed out that the Turkish state is following a special strategy in Southern Kurdistan, and said: “It has been attacking Southern Kurdistan since 1982, and it has deployed its forces in the region, and it seeks to deploy them in the defensive areas as well, and this means occupation.”

“The Kurdistan Democratic Party completely surrendered to Turkey”

Aziz Koyluoğlu stated that the Turkish state suffered a major defeat in the face of the resistance of the Kurdistan Liberation Movement Guerrilla during the year 2023, so he began trying to win more allies, and pointed to the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s complete submission to the Turkish occupation state in light of these attempts, and he continued his speech by saying: “After the referendum the Kurdistan Democratic Party said to the Turkish state, 'I am ready to implement your demands. I am in the service of your policies, and I will seek to move in line with your desires and interests in any way.' And it is behaving like this now as well. The Turkish state seeks to sow discord among the Kurds and make them fight each other, and the Kurdistan Democratic Party works willingly in this matter. He has been involved in great filth, and even the description of treason is insufficient to describe the Kurdistan Democratic Party. It not only allys itself with the Turkish state, but also encourages it to occupy. They consider that expanding the occupying state’s scope of its occupation will serve their family and party interests. In the region, this is what the Kurds consider treason."

Journalist Aziz Koyluoğlu explained that if the Kurdistan Democratic Party is truly pursuing a Kurdish policy, then it must withdraw from alliance or collusion with the Turkish state. Koyloğlu pointed out that the Kurdistan Democratic Party is actually hostile to the Kurdish people, so all the Kurdish people must take a stance regarding this forced the Kurdistan Democratic Party to abandon its current policy. He said: “In my opinion, the Kurds can hold a national conference that does not include the Kurdistan Democratic Party and reach a common policy against anti-Kurds.”

They seek an alliance with Iran, Iraq, and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan as well.”

Regarding the increasing activity of the Turkish diplomatic movement in Southern Kurdistan, he said: “Turkey seeks an alliance with Iran in Southern Kurdistan, the Mediay defense areas, Rojava, and North and East Syria. It also seeks an alliance with Iraq in its policies, even if Iraq has not allied with it.” Yet, but it has not taken any position regarding the Turkish state extending its occupation, and what Turkey wants is for Iraq to remain silent even if it does not ally with it. Turkey is also seeking to involve the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan in this alliance, as it is putting pressure on the leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Pavel Talabani, and threatening him with death. "It considers him a terrorist. Hakan Fidan told him, 'We can get rid of you.'"

 “There are no parties willing to join the Kurdistan Democratic Party front.”

Aziz pointed out that Iraq has no interest in this alliance that Turkey seeks, so Iraq will not ally with it. He stated that regardless of Iran’s problem with the Kurds, it will not enter into an alliance at this level with Turkey. Aziz also ruled out that the union would have the Patriotic Party of Kurdistan has no intention of joining the Kurdistan Democratic Party front, because the latter has been exposed in Southern Kurdistan and is no longer appreciated by anyone, and it seeks to maintain its presence in Southern Kurdistan with money only, at the diplomatic level, and through its militants.

Attacks could increase'

Koyluoğlu pointed out that the Turkish state is acting based on this mentality, “I will eliminate the will of the Kurds and certainly achieve my goal in the Middle East,” so it can intensify its attacks on Northern and Western Kurdistan and Southern Kurdistan, especially the mid-range defense areas during the month of April.

Journalist Aziz Koyluoğlu confirmed that the Turkish occupation state will not be able to form the alliance it seeks, and that it will become weaker and weaker as a result of the attacks. He concluded his speech by saying: “The Turkish state has lost its geostrategic presence, and this is what weakened the Turkish state in global politics.”
