A delegation from the Damascus Authority and the Democratic Autonomous Administration just arrived in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo. The delegation included Hussein Salama, head of the committee assigned by the Damascus Authority to implement the terms of the agreement signed with the Syrian Democratic Forces; Saad Naasan, Director of Political Affairs for the Damascus Authority in Aleppo; and Badran Jia Kurd, Advisor to the Democratic Autonomous Administration.

ANHA's correspondents in Aleppo reported that the delegation toured the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods, but did not hold any official meetings. This follows a coordination meeting held yesterday between the General Council of the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh Neighborhoods and the Aleppo Provincial Council. The meeting aimed to organize municipal work and concluded with an inspection tour to review the living and service conditions in the two neighborhoods.

Preceded by a related development, work began on installing joint checkpoints for the Internal Security Forces and the General Security around the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods on the 13th of this month, based on an agreement signed between the General Council of the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh Neighborhoods and representatives of the Damascus authorities in Aleppo.

It is worth noting that the agreement, concluded on April 1st, consists of 14 clauses aimed at promoting coexistence and preserving civil peace.

The agreement between the two parties stipulates several key points, including:

"The text of the agreement between the Civil Council of the Ashrafieh and Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhoods and the committee tasked by the Presidency of the Republic with implementing the agreement with the Syrian Democratic Forces.

Based on the commitment to promoting coexistence, preserving civil peace, and achieving the goals of the Syrian revolution for freedom and dignity, and based on the belief that consensus among the various components of the Syrian people is the best way to confront current challenges, the following has been agreed upon:

The Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods, inhabited by a Kurdish majority, are considered neighborhoods of the city of Aleppo and are administratively affiliated with it. Protecting and respecting the social and cultural privacy of the residents of these two neighborhoods is essential to promoting peaceful coexistence.

The provisions of this interim agreement will apply until the joint central committees agree on a sustainable solution.

The Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with the Internal Security Forces, is responsible for protecting the residents of the two neighborhoods and preventing any attacks or harassment against them.

To preserve civil peace and the safety of civilians, armed manifestations are prohibited in the two neighborhoods, and the possession of weapons is restricted to the Ministry of Interior's Internal Security Forces in both neighborhoods.

Earthen berm will be removed from public roads, while the main checkpoints will remain in place, under the supervision of the Ministry of Interior's Internal Security Forces, until security and stability are restored in the two neighborhoods.

Military forces will withdraw their weapons from the two neighborhoods to the area east of the Euphrates.

Two Internal Security centers will be established in each of the Ashrafieh and Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhoods.

Freedom of movement will be guaranteed for residents of the two neighborhoods, and the prosecution of anyone who was wanted before the agreement and whose hands were not stained with Syrian blood will be prohibited.

A coordination committee will be formed to facilitate movement between the city of Aleppo and the regions of northeastern Syria.

Committees will be formed in the two neighborhoods to implement the agreement on the ground.

Civil institutions in the two neighborhoods will work in coordination with other civil institutions, providing services to them without discrimination from other Aleppo neighborhoods through the two municipal branches located in the neighborhoods.

Prison facilities will be cleared by both sides in Aleppo Governorate, and all prisoners captured after the liberation will be exchanged.

The two neighborhoods are granted full and fair representation in the Aleppo Provincial Council, as well as in the Chambers of Commerce and Industry and other relevant fields, in accordance with applicable laws.

The existing service, administrative, and educational institutions, municipalities, and local councils in the two neighborhoods shall be maintained until the joint central committees agree on a sustainable solution.
