Israeli incursions, heavy gunfire in Daraa, Quneitra

On Saturday, Israeli forces carried out several incursions into Syrian territory in the Quneitra and southern Daraa countrysides. These incursions included simultaneous movements of military vehicles and the establishment of temporary checkpoints, accompanied by gunfire and the use of smoke bombs.

In details, a force consisting of five Humvees advanced from the direction of Tel al-Ahmar al-Gharbi, proceeding along the road between the villages of Ain al-Ziwan and Ain al-Abd, reaching al-Jamous intersection east of the town of al-Rafid. From there, they turned south towards al-Hayran and east towards Abo Ghara, where they established a temporary checkpoint.

In a parallel operation, another force of four military vehicles crossed the Abo Ghaithar crossing and headed towards the village of Saida al-Hanout. They then continued towards al-Muqraz Dam, pausing briefly before resuming their advance towards the western countryside of Daraa.

A third incursion by five Israeli military vehicles on the road between the villages of al-Ashah and al-Asbah in the southern countryside of Quneitra was recorded. This coincided with heavy gunfire from Tel Ahmar al-Gharbi towards Tel Ahmar al-Sharqi, in addition to the use of smoke grenades to secure troop movements in the area.

This escalation comes amid continued Israeli activity within Syrian territory, and a state of tension in the border region.
