ANHA correspondent, citing local sources, reported that Israeli forces consisting of around five military vehicles entered through the Tal Abu al-Ghaithar gate and headed toward the Ghurfat Mujahim area on the outskirts of Wadi al-Raqad in the Quneitra countryside. The forces have been stationed there since the morning, with their personnel deployed around the site.

Local sources said the Israeli forces set up checkpoints in the area and searched pedestrians and checked their identities before later heading to the Wadi al-Raqad Bridge, where they remained for some time.

The Ghurfat Mujahim area is an elevated location overlooking several villages along the banks of Wadi al-Raqad, giving the area strategic importance on the ground.

As of the time of publication, there were no reports of clashes or arrests resulting from the incursion, while no official comment on the incident had been issued.

The incursion comes amid continued Israeli military activity inside Syrian territory, particularly in the countryside of Quneitra and Daraa, where Israeli forces have carried out incursions, patrols and established temporary checkpoints in several border areas.
