Israeli Army declares state of alert in Southern Syria

The Israeli Army declared a state of alert and military deployment in southern Syria, which it said aims to "eliminate any threat to Israel."

The Israeli Army declared a state of alert and military deployment today in southern Syria, particularly around the Golan Heights, with the aim of "eliminating any threat to Israel," according to an official statement.

IDF Spokesperson Avichay Adraee explained that forces from the 210th Division were deployed along a line extending from the summit of Mount Hermon to the border triangle between Syria, Jordan, and Israel.

Adraee indicated that the Alexandroni Brigade (3) carried out a series of raids this week targeting weapons and combat equipment depots in the area, resulting in the arrest of a number of individuals suspected of involvement in terrorist activities. They were transferred for investigation within Israel.

In the same context, the Quneitra countryside witnessed limited Israeli incursions over the past two days, including search operations and deployment on the rooftops of houses in a number of villages and towns.
