Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar stated that Israel rejects any presence of Turkish military bases in Syria, deeming this a red line that cannot be crossed.

In an article published by Agence France-Presse (AFP), the Israeli minister added that Israel is committed to maintaining the status quo and will not accept the establishment of Turkish military bases in Syria.

He noted that Tel Aviv’s stance stems from its determination to prevent a recurrence—with Turkey in Syria—of the scenario in which Iran infiltrated Lebanon and Gaza.

Sa'ar emphasized that Israel has no interest in escalation with Turkey, noting a preference for diplomatic solutions to resolve conflicts.
