ISIS mercenary killed, 3 arrested during SDF operations in Deir ez-Zor

The official website of the Syrian Democratic Forces published news about a series of operations carried out by the "commando" forces in cooperation with the International Coalition forces in Deir ez-Zor, targeting ISIS mercenary cells.

During the news, details of the operations were mentioned. In the first operation, the forces were able to arrest the mercenary called “Khaled Al-Khalifa Al-Suhail.” The forces indicated: “The arrested terrorist had belonged to the ranks of the terrorist organization at the beginning of the latter’s entry into the areas of Deir ez-Zor, and he continued to work with him in the field of Monitoring, and he also participated in the fighting against our forces in Raqqa and the countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

After liberating those areas by our forces; The terrorist “Khaled” fled to Turkish territory in 2021, only to return and enter Syrian territory again in 2023, and begin his work and secret activity with the terrorist organization.

In the second operation; Commando forces arrested the mercenary called “Faisal Muhammad Mubarak,” nicknamed “Abu Muslim Al-Faouri.”

The mercenary “Mubarak” joined the ranks of ISIS during its control of the city of “Palmyra” and the countryside of Homs, and he continued to work with him even when he withdrew from those areas towards Deir ez-Zor, where he fought with ISIS in the town of “al-Baghouz” and continued to work secretly in the security field and collect information for ISIS. Until he was arrested.

In the same context; The news reported that two mercenaries targeted, last Thursday morning, the civilian “Hassan Al-Hussein Al-Salama” and another person who was with him, when they left his house on a motorcycle heading to the village of “Al-Jardi” in the countryside of the city of “Hajin.”

While pursuing the two mercenaries, one of them was killed, and the other was wounded and arrested by the Syrian Democratic Forces.
