ISF: Transitional Govt.'s factions targets Sheikh Maqsoud 4 times in a row

The Internal Security Forces in Aleppo issued a statement on Tuesday regarding the targeting of the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood by factions affiliated with the Syrian Transitional Government.

The statement included, "We, the Internal Security Forces in Aleppo, confirm that during the past 24 hours, the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood was subjected to several attacks by armed factions affiliated with the Interim Ministry of Defense, as the neighborhood was targeted four times consecutively, and that resulted in the death of one civilian and the injury of two others, as well as causing inflicting significant damage to properties."

The statement continued, "In the framework of our legitimate right to defend civilians, we responded strongly to these attacks, targeting two positions belonging to these armed factions."

The Internal Security Forces emphasized, "This attack constitutes a new violation of the truce and demonstrates a continued breach of previous agreements aimed at protecting civilians and ensuring their safety. We, the Internal Security Forces, affirm that our response will remain within the framework of the law and the legitimate defense of civilian lives and properties. We call upon all parties to respect the rights of civilians and refrain from targeting residential areas."
