The Minister of Migration and Displacement announced the suspension of the return of Iraqis from Al-Hol camp, located in the NE Syria.

Minister of Migration and Displacement Ivan Faiq Jabro said on Tuesday that "UN agencies stopped working in Al-Hol camp after stopping US aid."
Ivan added in a press statement: "The return of Iraqi refugees from Al-Hol camp will be stopped."
The minister revealed that "Syria informed us that it intends to dismantle the Al-Hol camp," and commented: "This poses great concerns," pointing out that "there will be a different mechanism if refugees are forcibly returned from Syria."
On February 9, the administration of Al-Hol camp in NE Syria region conducted a new trip that included a batch of Iraqis wishing to return to their homes, including 155 families, numbering about 594 people, and this batch is the 21st for Iraqis who were returned from Al-Hol camp to Iraq, since 2022.
