Internal Security's checkpoint in al-Kasra targeted, no injuries reported

The Internal Security Forces in North and East Syria announced that one of their checkpoints in the town of al-Kasra, in Deir ez-Zor Canton, was attacked by “terrorist cells.” The attackers fled the scene without causing any injuries among the forces.

The General Command of the Internal Security Forces explained that two individuals affiliated with “terrorist cells,” riding a motorcycle, opened fire on one of the forces’ checkpoints in al-Kasra on Monday evening. The forces immediately responded to the source of the attack, leading to the assailants’ escape without any injuries among their ranks.

The General Command added in its statement that, following the attack, field patrols were deployed to inspect the area and pursue the perpetrators. It affirmed that necessary security measures have been taken to ensure stability in the region and to prevent any attempts to undermine security.

The General Command of the Internal Security Forces in North and East Syria reaffirmed its commitment to continuing its duty to protect civilians and maintain security and stability in the region.
