Internal Security Forces arrest 6 mercenaries from ISIS cells in Deir ez-Zor

This came during news published today by the Media Center of the Internal Security Forces in North and East Syria.

According to the center, “Our H.A.T. Special Forces were able to arrest 6 members of ISIS terrorist cells in a successful operation at dawn on Wednesday, October 18, east of Deir ez-Zor.

As a result of the work of our security forces in following up on the files of terrorist cells and organizations and arresting them, and through great intelligence efforts, intensive investigations, and follow-up in pursuing and tracing the suspects and collecting sufficient information about their criminal work, and with the support and participation of the International Coalition, the locations of 6 terrorist elements active in targeting our areas were identified, as they carried out, our special forces, H.A.T, carried out a successful security operation with great skill and complete control of the place. They were arrested in their den and two Kalashnikov weapons were found in their possession.

Our security forces continue their duty towards our people and our regions by pursuing terrorist cells, cleansing all our regions, and establishing security and stability in them.”
