Internal Security arrests dangerous mercenary in Deir ez-Zor countryside

The Internal Security Forces announced the arrest of a "dangerous" mercenary from subversive groups affiliated with the Damascus government forces in the Deir ez-Zor countryside.

The Media Center of the Internal Security Forces said that the Public Security Forces of its forces carried out, on Tuesday, a precise operation during which it arrested what it called a “dangerous” mercenary west of Deir ez-Zor.

According to the Media Center, the aforementioned mercenary is a member of sabotage groups affiliated with the Damascus government forces and is carrying out sabotage operations, and he is involved in operations targeting the centers of the Internal Security Forces and military forces and stirring up strife in the region.

The Internal Security Forces reported that the mercenary, who was wearing an explosive belt, opened fire at the forces during the raid, forcing the security forces to respond and arrest him after he was wounded.

The Internal Security Forces also found in his possession a quantity of weapons and ammunition, which are:
