Interim Govt. factions' attacks thwarted in Sarin vicinity

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the People's Protection Units (YPG), and the Women's Protection Units (YPJ) managed to thwart attacks launched by Interim Government factions in the vicinity of Sarin city, resulting in the death of a number of attackers and the injury of others.

Military sources reported that factions of the Syrian Interim Government, backed by Turkey, launched an attack with heavy weapons on Thursday morning, including artillery and tanks, in the vicinity of the city of Sarin, as they targeted the Kobane countryside and positions held by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), in an attempt to advance.

In response, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), along with the People's Protection Units (YPG) and the Women's Protection Units (YPJ), repelled the attacks multiple times, destroying a vehicle loaded with a medium machine gun, two motorcycles, and an armored vehicle, in addition to thwarting the advance, according to a field military source.

The attack also resulted in killing and wounding a number of the attackers, as well as quantities of weapons in their possession were seized.
