The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) fighters, who continue to secure al-Aqtan prison in Raqqa, being besieged for six days by mercenaries of the Syrian Interim Government and holding ISIS militants, issued an urgent appeal to the international powers and the global coalition. They explained that they are protecting a prison holding thousands of ISIS detainees, despite suffering from severe shortages of logistical supplies.

The fighters confirmed that they are under intense and repeated attacks, the latest of which occurred on Thursday. They stated, "For the sixth consecutive day, we have been insisting on protecting the world from those mercenaries despite our suffering from a lack of logistical supplies, and we emphasize the necessity of providing support."

The fighters also announced their readiness to hand over responsibility for protecting al-Aqtan prison, which holds ISIS members, provided there are international guarantees to ensure continued control and prevent any security threats.
