Intellectuals: Leader’s project is foundation for any genuine social change

The people of Girkê Legê in al-Jazira Canton of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria expressed their desire to meet leader Abdullah Ocalan, emphasizing that his democratic project is the basis for any real social change.

In this context, writer Bradost Mitani noted that the campaigns launched for the leader’s physical freedom reflect a growing intellectual and social will to directly connect with Abdullah Ocalan. He said: "I also wish to meet leader Abdullah Ocalan because he is a comprehensive intellectual and life school. To me, he represents a fundamental reference on issues of freedom and justice."

Mitani added: "His thought helped us realize that change begins from within society, and that justice can only be achieved through awareness and organization." He emphasized, "Meeting the leader is not an individual demand but a demand of an entire people aspiring to live in freedom and dignity."

Meanwhile, Saeed Mela Youssef, a member of the Union of Intellectuals in al-Jazira Canton, stated: "Abdullah Ocalan’s project is not just a theoretical thesis but a comprehensive vision to rebuild societies from within. I want to meet him because he presented an alternative vision to authoritarian regimes that led our people to collapse."

Saeed confirmed: "The leader’s thought represents a roadmap out of the current crises because it places humans at the center of social and political processes."

He added: "My joining the campaign ‘I Want to Meet Abdullah Ocalan’ is because meeting the leader is not only a political and humanitarian right but a cognitive necessity for anyone who wants to understand and work according to a genuine liberatory project."

Adnan Barko, a member of the Union of Intellectuals, said: "I want to meet Abdullah Ocalan because he is a role model who taught us how to confront reality with hope and conscious resistance."

Barko noted: "The leader’s thought is not just a book to be read but a way of life that teaches us that freedom starts from within each individual. His intellectual project provided the youth with a clear compass to walk toward a future dominated by justice and equality."

He confirmed: "The leader represents a symbol of hope, and his voice echoes the aspirations of millions dreaming of a more dignified and humane life."
