Increased risk of Tishrin Dam collapse from Turkish attacks

The SDF Media Center reported that Turkish airstrikes and drone attacks, along with intense assaults around Tishrin Dam, are ongoing, according to an official statement.

The statement read: "Turkish warplanes bombed Tishrin Dam and its surroundings with several airstrikes, coinciding with attacks by Turkish-backed mercenary factions on villages north of Tishrin Dam and southeast of Manbij, where fierce clashes are taking place between the Manbij Military Council forces and the mercenaries."

The statement pointed out that the mercenary attacks are supported by aerial bombardment from Turkish warplanes and drones, in addition to heavy artillery shelling, with clashes continuing on multiple fronts.

In the Kobani area, a Turkish drone bombed a civilian car in the village of "Girik," in addition to artillery shelling on the village of "Aslanki" south of Kobani city.

The Syrian Democratic Forces also confirmed that the risk of Tishrin Dam collapsing is increasing, holding the Turkish occupying state responsible for any disaster that may affect the dam and other Syrian areas as a result of Turkish air and artillery strikes, which peaked during the early hours of the morning and continue until now.
