IED blast in Daraa

An explosive device planted by unknown persons exploded in a security area in the center of the city of Daraa, without information about any deaths or injuries in light of the widespread security chaos in Daraa and all areas under the control of the Damascus government.

During the past hours, the center of Daraa city witnessed the explosion of an explosive device planted by unknown persons in a security area in the North Line neighborhood, without any information being received about deaths or injuries, and the damage was limited to material things, according to what the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported.

Thus, the total number of attacks in Daraa since the beginning of this year, according to the Observatory’s documentation, has reached 451 incidents of security chaos, all of which took place in different ways and methods, and caused the death of 356 people, most of them citizens and members of the Damascus government forces.

Observers believe that the Damascus government is playing a negative role by insisting on resolving the Syrian crisis in accordance with its mentality and behavior that exploits the deteriorating situation of the people of Syria, and that the Damascus government’s ignoring of the situation and popular discontent at home may lead to the eruption of the situation, the features of which have begun to become clear with the passage of about two months since the As-Suwayda protests against the Damascus government. And demanding a comprehensive political solution to the Syrian crisis in accordance with UN Resolution 2,254, and “overthrowing the regime.”
