Ibrahim Sheikho: Occupied Afrin is unsafe
Member of the Human Rights Organization in Afrin - Syria, Ibrahim Sheikho, pointed out the lack of security in occupied Afrin and the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation state committing daily crimes against the people.

A member of the Human Rights Organization in Afrin - Syria, Ibrahim Sheikho, spoke to ANHA's agency about the warplans of the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries in occupied Afrin.
Ibrahim Sheikho began his speech by highlighting the change in the demographics of Afrin by the occupation, and said: “With the beginning of the occupation of Afrin canton in 2018, the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries began to change its demographics through various policies such as intimidating people, killing, kidnapping, seizing homes, and building settlements.”
Sheikho continued his speech, saying: “In this context, the people of Afrin were displaced, the families of the mercenaries were resettled in their homes, and huge royalties were imposed on the indigenous people who remained in Afrin, and the indigenous people sell their homes and property to pay these royalties, and many foreign brokers also offer to buy lands and houses.” The property of the people of Afrin was sold at low prices, and dozens of similar incidents occurred in Afrin.”
Sheikho added: "In Shia and Afrin in general, royalties ranging from 3,000 to 7,000 dollars have been imposed on the people, from the beginning of the olive season until now, and they also kidnap the indigenous people from their homes for the purpose of demanding ransom."
Ibrahim Sheikho said: "There are internal conflicts and daily clashes between mercenaries, due to sharing food supplies or things they have looted. They clash among each other and arouse the fear of the people. This is not the first or last time that clashes have broken out in populated areas."
Sheikho pointed out that the Turkish occupation army did not intervene to separate the conflicting mercenary groups because of its desire to continue the crisis and chaos in Afrin, thus justifying its occupation of the region and legitimizing it before the international community.
Sheikho stressed that the Turkish occupation state is primarily responsible for the crimes taking place in Afrin.
A member of the Human Rights Organization in Afrin - Syria, Ibrahim Sheikho, concluded his speech by saying: “Afrin is an unsafe organization,” and revealed that they possess documents related to demographic change, security chaos, kidnapping and killing civilians, and demanding ransom.”
