Hundreds rally in mass NE, Syria for achieving Ocalan's physical freedom

In condemnation of the international conspiracy that targeted Leader Abdullah Ocalan on February 15, 1999, the people of the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor canton, as well as in the Ad-Darbasiyah district of Jazira canton, marched in two separate marches. The Zenobia Women’s Association and the Health Authority of the Euphrates canton demanded, through two separate statements, also in Manbij and Kobani, With the physical freedom of the leader.

Deir-ez-Zor

The march, which took place in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, started in front of Hajin Hospital, stopped in the square of the Martyrs’ Families Council in the town, and ended with the reading of a statement by the Deputy co-chairmanship of the People’s Assembly in the Eastern Region, Salah Al-Salman.

After denouncing the plot, the statement appealed to “civil society institutions, the international community, the United Nations and human rights organizations to take action to release leader Abdullah Ocalan.”

The statement referred to the effects of the international conspiracy: “This conspiracy has had negative effects on the peoples of the Middle East and the world, as the governments of the world have abandoned seeking to find political solutions to the issues of the region, most notably the Kurdish issue, and have resorted instead to the use of force without respect for rights.”

Ad-Darbasiyah

In the march in the Ad-Darbasiyah district, the demonstrators pointed out that the unity of peoples is capable of breaking isolation and achieving the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The administrator of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement in the Ad-Darbasiyah district, Nour Abbas, called on the young group to raise the pace of struggle to achieve the aspirations of the people of the northern and eastern Syrian region, represented by the physical freedom of the leader.

Manbij

In the same context, women in Manbij canton affirmed that the time has come for leader Abdullah Ocalan’s physical freedom more than ever before, during a statement made today by the Council of the Zenobia Women’s Gathering in Manbij Canton, delivered by the group’s member, Hanaa Taljbini.

The statement saluted the resistance of leader Abdullah Ocalan in Imrali prison, touched on the merits of the conspiracy that targeted him in 1999, and how it continued to this day by tightening the isolation on him, and stressed that the conspiracy did not achieve its goals due to the spread of his ideas around the world.

Kobani

The Health Authority of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Euphrates canton, through a statement it made in the city of Kobani, looked with concern at the health of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and expressed its concern that the Committee against Torture did not break its silence, and did not disclose the condition of Leader Abdullah Ocalan after his visit.

The statement called on all human rights parties, especially the United Nations, to consider the situation of leader Abdullah Ocalan and work to achieve his physical freedom.

Al-Hol

For its part, the Youth Council of the Future Together Party, in Al-Hol district, organized a march that started in front of the educational complex towards the roundabout. Upon its arrival, the participants stood for a minute of silence, and then the council’s administrator, Muhammad Aboush, confirmed: “The democratic nation project proposed by the leader and thinker Abdullah Ocalan is the ideal solution to all problems.” Peoples all over the world, except for the forces of darkness represented by authoritarian and dictatorial governments based on suppressing the will of peoples and their right to self-determination, have sought in all inhuman forms and methods to rob man of his will and freedom.”

The march ended with an emphasis on escalating the pace of struggle and following in the footsteps of the martyrs.
