Hundreds of people in Derik call for leader's physical freedom

Hundreds of people from the city of Derik and its villages called for the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan during a mass rally.

Hundreds of people from the city of Derik gathered in Freedom Square to participate in a march to demand the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan and denounce the isolation imposed on him.

During the march, participants held pictures of Abdullah Ocalan and banners reading "It's time for the freedom of Abdullah Ocalan."

PYD member Mutei Ali gave a speech in which he referred to the ongoing quest for the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Mutei pointed out the great influence of Abdullah Ocalan's appeal in advancing the peace process and consolidating democracy in the Middle East and the world.

He pointed out that Abdullah Ocalan provided a comprehensive vision and an optimal solution to the course of the current crises, especially with regard to the Kurdish issue, by adopting political and peaceful solutions.

The march ended with participants' chants praising the resistance of Abdullah Ocalan
