Humanitarian organizations, offices visit Kobani

A delegation from the Security and Safety Organization and the International Humanitarian Affairs Organization visited the city of Kobani to assess the humanitarian and service conditions in the city under the ongoing siege, and to discuss the basic needs and possibilities for providing support during the next phase.

A delegation from the Security and Safety Organization and the International Humanitarian Affairs Organization visited the city of Kobani, where they met with the co-chair of the Autonomous Administration Farhan Haji Issa, the deputy co-chair Mezgin Khalil, the co-chair of the Social Affairs Authority Ahmed Khoja, the director of the Organizations Affairs Office, Mostafa Hassen, and the head of the Women's Authority Majda Hassoun.

The visit aimed to assess the overall situation in the city under the imposed siege, identify urgent humanitarian and service needs, and discuss the type and amount of aid that could be provided in the coming period. The two sides also discussed the operational mechanisms for humanitarian organizations scheduled to enter Kobani in the coming days and ways to facilitate their work to support the population and alleviate the difficult living conditions.

The city of Kobani has been under a suffocating siege since January 20th.
