HPG: Turkish occupation’s attacks continue

The HPG Media Center issued a statement today, Thursday, regarding the Turkish occupation army's attacks and the guerrilla forces' response to these attacks within the framework of the legitimate right to self-defense, during the period from March 11 to 12. The statement included the following:

Attacks by warplanes:

On March 11, the Turkish occupation army bombed the resistance area in the Martyr Sharif area twice, the resistance areas of Gire Zangil and Deresh in the Garê area three times, and the resistance area of Serê Metina in the Metina area once with warplanes. In total, the Turkish occupation army bombed these areas six times.

On March 12, the Turkish occupation army bombed the resistance areas in Koshin and Martyr Sharif in the Khakurk area twice, the resistance areas in Derash, Tal Kon, Khiri, and Galta in the Garê area four times, and the resistance areas in Amadiya Hill in the Martyr Delil area in west of Zap twice with warplanes. In total, the Turkish occupation army bombed these areas eight times.

Attacks by attack helicopters:

On March 12, the Turkish occupation army bombed the resistance areas in Judi Hill and Bahar Hill in the Martyr Delil area west of Zap nine times with attack helicopters.

Attacks by heavy weapons and artillery shells:

On March 11, the Turkish occupation army bombed the resistance areas of Lolan and Bria Zain in the Khakurk area six times, the resistance areas of Zangil Hill, Kani Sark, Zivk, Miji, Spindar, Derash, Karkash, and Arkan 62 times, the resistance areas in Shilaza and Serê Metina in the Metina area 36 times, and the resistance areas in Amadiya Hill and Bahar Hill in the Martyr Delil area in west of Zap 256 times with heavy weapons and artillery shells. In total, the Turkish occupation army bombed these areas 360 times.

On March 12, the Turkish occupation army bombed the resistance areas of Sinin, Bria Zain, and Lolan in the Khakurk area 28 times, the resistance areas of Zangil Hill and Kon Hill in the Garê area seven times, the resistance areas of Kani Sark, Zivk, Zangil Hill, Miji, Spindar, Derash, and Karkash in the Garê area 68 times, the resistance areas in Shilaza and Serê Metina in the Metina area 165 times, and the resistance areas in Amadiya Hill and Bahar Hill in the Martyr Delil area in west of Zap 64 times with heavy weapons and artillery shells. In total, the Turkish occupation army bombed these areas 332 times.

Guerrilla forces' response to these attacks:

On March 12 at 15:20, guerrilla forces destroyed a surveillance camera system in the resistance area of Amadiya Hill.
