HPG: Turkish occupation continues attacks on Medya Defense areas 

The HPG Media Center issued a statement today regarding the Turkish army's attacks, stating:

"From July 13 to July 23, the Turkish occupation army continued its attacks on the Medya Defense areas . On July 13, 17, 19, and 21, the war tunnels in the resistance areas of Beshili and Serê Metina in the Metina region were bombed 6 times by drones.

On July 17, 18, and 21, the resistance area in Serê Metina in the Metina region was bombarded 362 times with heavy weapons and artillery shells.

On July 13, 17, and 19, the resistance area of Bahar Hill in the Shahid Delil area in western Zap was bombarded 11 times with heavy weapons and artillery shells.

On July 20, our forces responded with individual weapons to occupation soldiers who attempted to enter the Martyr Ghamgin tunnel in the resistance area of Derkel in the Metina region. After our forces intervened, the soldiers were forced to withdraw.

Between July 13 and July 23, reconnaissance and attack drones (İHA and SİHA) flew over the Medya Defense areas at various times of the day, conducting surveillance and attack operations.

During the same period, a road was constructed in the Zap, Metina, and Xakurk regions with the aim of occupation.

Between July 13 and July 23, our forces were called upon to surrender in the Shahid Delil area in western Zap and in Metina.

In the Metina region, our forces responded using technical means to attempts to encircle and destroy our tunnels."
