HPG: Turkish occupation bombs Medya defense areas 712 times

The Media Center of the People's Defense Forces issued a statement today regarding the Turkish occupation’s attacks on the Medya defense areas, stating:

"We salute our patriotic people who filled the squares of Newroz, demanding the physical freedom of Leader Apo and celebrating Newroz with great enthusiasm, with all love and respect. We affirm that we will continue our struggle with greater strength, inspired by the power and morale we receive from our people. While Turkish state officials claim to celebrate Newroz as a holiday of brotherhood and spring, the Turkish occupation army continued its bombardment of the mountains of Kurdistan during the days of Newroz. There is no doubt that the guerrilla forces, which have effectively taken all necessary precautions, suffered no harm from these attacks. Nevertheless, the Turkish occupation state, which claims to celebrate spring, has destroyed the beautiful nature by bombing it from the air and land 712 times."

Turkish occupation airstrikes:

On March 20, 21, and 22, Turkish warplanes bombed: The resistance areas of Lolan and Koshin in the Khakurk region twice, the resistance areas of Der Ash and Siyan in the Garê region five times, the resistance area of Beşîl in the Metina region three times and the resistance area of Bahar Hill in the Martyr Delil area west of Zap four times. In total, there were 14 airstrikes.

Turkish occupation heavy weapons and artillery shelling:

On March 20 and 21, the following areas were targeted: The resistance areas of Sinîn, Lolan, and Beri Zîn in the Khakurk region were shelled 85 times, the resistance areas of Der Ash, Karkash, Spindar, Maji, Kon Hill, Zivk, Rashid Hill, Zankal Hill, Kafya Plain, and Haftbag in the Garê region were shelled 380 times, the resistance areas of Beşîl, Şilazê, and Serê Metina in the Metina region were shelled 89 times and the resistance area of Bahar Hill in the Martyr Delil area west of Zap was shelled 144 times. In total, there were 698 instances of shelling with heavy weapons and artillery.
