HPG kills and wounds 8 Turkish occupation soldiers

The Press Center of the People's Defense Forces (HPG) issued a written statement today, announcing the killing of 6 soldiers of the Turkish occupation army, during the operations carried out in the Metina and Zap regions of the Medya Defense Zones, in southern Kurdistan, stating:

"In the Metina region:

On August 12, at 06:40, our forces targeted and destroyed one of the surveillance cameras of the occupation army in the resistance square in Serê Metina with sniper tactics. At 11:15, a soldier of the occupation army who was trying to replace the destroyed camera was sniped, and the operation led to his death. These two operations were carried out by our forces in the Free Women's Units - Star.

In the Martyr Dalil area west of Zap:

On August 11, at 15:20, the occupiers with heavy weapons in the resistance square in Amediye Hill.

On August 12, at 01:56, the occupiers in the resistance square in Amediye Hill were targeted with sniper tactics, and the operation resulted in the death of an occupation army soldier.

On August 12, at 17:15, the occupiers in the resistance square in Amediya Hill were targeted with semi-automatic weapons, and an occupation army position was hit.

On August 13, at 06:00, the occupiers in the resistance square in Amediya Hill were targeted with heavy weapons.

On August 13, at 12:30, the occupiers in the resistance square in Amediya Hill were targeted with semi-automatic weapons, and two occupation army positions were hit.

On August 13, at 23:55, the occupiers in the resistance square in Amadiya Hill were targeted with individual weapons from a close range. This operation resulted in: the destruction of a site where 3 occupation soldiers were stationed, in addition to the destruction of another site where 2 occupation soldiers were stationed, which led to the killing of 4 occupation soldiers and the injury of 2, the destruction of 2 sites and the destruction of a container, in addition to the destruction of 3 surveillance camera systems and 3 projectors.

On August 12, at 18:37, a surveillance camera belonging to the occupation was targeted in the resistance square in Bahar Hill with semi-automatic weapons.

On August 12, at 23:26, our forces intercepted the occupation army helicopters in the resistance square in Bahar Hill, which led to the helicopters stopping their flight.

Attacks of the Turkish occupation army with prohibited weapons:

On August 13, our tunnels in the resistance square on FM Hill were bombed 13 times with chemical gases and twice with prohibited weapons.

On August 12, our tunnels in the resistance square on Judi Hill were bombed twice with prohibited weapons.

Attacks of the Turkish occupation army:

On August 11, 12 and 13, the squares of Martyr Sherif, Lolan, Martyr Heyman Hill, Sanin, Barbazna in the Khakurki region were bombed 14 times, the squares of Sahl Kafia, Dirish, Shih, Kun Hill, Zengel in the Gari region were bombed 10 times, the resistance square on Bahar Hill in the Martyr Delil West Zap region 4 times, the resistance squares in Shilaz and Seri Metina in the Metina region twice, and the squares of Martyr Jihan Hill, Surd, Kurtak, Beywan, Komuta in the Qandil region were bombed 5 times, a total of 35 times.
