Sanan Onal, spokesperson for the “Freedom Campaign,” explained that during the campaign’s third year, they will introduce Leader Abdullah Ocalan with the title “Leader of Freedom and Democracy.” He noted that they are holding conferences with the friends of the Kurdish people and continuing their meetings with international institutions to put pressure on Turkey.

Coinciding with the sixth anniversary of the occupation of their city, the forcibly displaced residents of the occupied city of Serêkaniyê renewed their demand for a safe return to their city under international supervision and guarantees, away from the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries. Turkey displaced more than 300,000 civilians from the cities of Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî in North and East Syria. Since then, thousands of children have grown up in displacement camps, far from their villages which they have never seen. The details of the occupied cities are now told to them by their peers and relatives, while the occupation continues to impose a new demographic reality amid a suspicious international silence. Since September 27, the General Institution for Cotton in North and East Syria has received more than ten thousand tons of harvest through its centers in Hasakah, Raqqa, and Deir ez-Zor, in a season marked by high production quality and strong farmer turnout for direct delivery. A member of the Syrian Initiative for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan confirmed the continuation of the global campaign “Freedom for leader Abdullah Ocalan – Political Solution for the Kurdish Question,” and its expansion on political, diplomatic, and popular levels. The co-presidency of the Future Syria Party confirmed the absence of a clear law regulating the work of political parties in the country and stated that the transitional government continues to follow the previous regime’s approach in attempting to paralyze political life and obstruct the democratic process.
