The Hasakah Martyrs’ Families Council issued a statement today at the Djiwar Martyr’s Shrine in the village of Al-Dawudiya. Council member Mohammed Hajo read the statement, which addressed recent events in Kobani, particularly developments inside the city’s prison.

The statement said the events in Kobani were part of attempts aimed at obstructing the integration process. It stressed the need for people to remain vigilant and organized and avoid falling into the trap of “special warfare,” emphasizing that confronting attempts to fuel tensions requires social awareness and cohesion among the region’s different communities.

The statement highlighted the deep historical ties between the Arab and Kurdish peoples, noting that they had lived together peacefully and in harmony for hundreds of years. It called for preserving these relations and preventing any attempts to undermine them.

The Hasakah Martyrs’ Families Council called on members of both the Arab and Kurdish communities to remain cautious and vigilant, warning against being drawn into conspiracies and special warfare that could harm the interests of the region’s peoples.

At the end of the statement, the council called on all Syrians to stand together and protect the martyrs and the homeland, stressing the importance of preserving the unity of Syrian society and keeping the country’s diversity alive despite the prevailing circumstances and challenges.
