Amid attacks targeting Rojava by factions of the Interim Government, Kurds in Rojava have continued to protect their areas since the declaration of general mobilization on January 16. Many members of the Kurdish community in al-Hasakah believe that the agreement signed between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Interim Government is positive and has contributed to protecting Kurds from oppression and injustice.

Citizen Khurshid Qaro said: “Our revolution will continue until all the rights of the Kurdish people are achieved. We stand behind our Kurdish forces, and we will not abandon the blood of our martyrs. We hope that all human rights advocates around the world will support the Kurds and protect them from oppression and injustice.”

Qaro explained that Kurds are required to stand by one another and not halt demonstrations and marches demanding their rights, in order to convey their voice to the United Nations and humanitarian organizations. He warned that the lack of Kurdish unity would lead to their dissolution at the hands of capitalist states.

For his part, Dr. Abdul Ghani Shweish said: “After the Democratic Autonomous Administration declared the general mobilization, all Kurds stood alongside their military forces to protect their regions and cities from the barbaric attacks launched by the Interim Government. We will not stop at all until we obtain our full political and cultural rights that were taken from us.”

Dr. Shweish added that the Rojava Revolution, along with the difficult circumstances accompanying it, has helped unite Kurds around a single demand and stance, proving to the entire world that Kurdish demands and rights are one.

Meanwhile, citizen Mohammad Hajo described the agreement between the SDF and the Interim Government as positive due to its role in sparing Kurds from killing and oppression. He said: “The Rojava Revolution has not stopped and will not stop here. All Kurds stood with the general mobilization that was declared to protect Kurdish regions and cities, from the elderly to children and youth.”

Hajo noted that Rojava has become a symbol of Kurdish unity across all parts of Kurdistan and among various Kurdish parties, pointing out that many people have headed to Rojava from different regions of Kurdistan to help protect it.

Concluding his remarks, Mohammad Hajo appealed to Kurdish youth abroad to join the ongoing Rojava Revolution, expressing strong hope that the revolution will prevail and that Kurds will obtain their cultural and political rights.
