Informed sources within the General Council confirmed that the Council's co-chair has begun the process of forming specialized committees to negotiate with their counterparts within the transitional government committees, to follow up on the negotiations under the April 1st agreement on Aleppo between the two parties.

Six specialized committees are scheduled to be formed, each focusing on health, education, security, services, water, and electricity, in addition to a central committee tasked with monitoring the implementation of the agreement's provisions and removing obstacles. Each committee will consist of five members.

This step also implements Article (10), which stipulates "the formation of committees in the two neighborhoods to implement the agreement on the ground," and Article (9), which stipulates "the formation of a coordination committee to facilitate movement between the city of Aleppo and the areas of NE Syria," which is one of the tasks of the Security Committee.

Sources said that these instructions came as a result of the last meeting held between representatives of NE Syria and the transitional government on September 4.

And noted, at the same time, that the main outcome of the last meeting was the continued implementation of the agreement and increased coordination between the two parties.

It is worth noting that an agreement was signed on April 1st regarding the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods between the neighborhood councils and representatives of the transitional government in Aleppo. The agreement included 14 main provisions, including promoting coexistence, protecting residents, preventing armed manifestations, and organizing internal security. The agreement also includes the formation of committees to implement the provisions and facilitate movement and travel.
